The Virginia legal community recognizes G. Barton Chucker as an expert in the area of traffic and drunk driving law. He has been named to Virginia's Legal Elite and has also been recognized three years in a row as a Virginia Super Lawyer.  He has served as special counsel to the House Courts of Justice Committee since 2005.  He has also been a long time faculty member of drunk driving and serious traffic offenses continuing legal education program by the Virginia Law Foundation.  Mr. Chucker teaches traffic law to both lawyers and judges in the fulfillment of their continuing legal education mandatory credit hours. He has lectured at many judicial conferences to aid with updating and educating Virginia judiciary.  Mr. Chucker is called upon by periodicals, both legal and non-legal, for his input and opinions on the latest developments in traffic law. Practicing for since 1989, he is also a published author in the area of traffic law. Mr. Chucker has defended individuals in thousands of traffic and/or drunk driving violations. He enjoys the respect of the local bars, judges, prosecutors and police officers. He enjoys frequent referrals from Virginia's largest law firms.
